Checking to see if you prequalify will not impact your credit score. However, if you choose to apply, the Bank will perform a credit bureau check, which may affect your credit score. The Bank will determine whether you qualify and, if so, which credit card you will receive.

Applying In-Store:
You can apply for the myAcademy Rewards credit cards during checkout or by scanning the QR Code in-store to see if you prequalify. Visit your nearest Academy to learn more.

Applying Online:

Applying for a myAcademy Rewards credit card will result in a credit bureau inquiry to your credit report, which can temporarily impact your credit score.

However, you can check if you pre-qualify without impacting your credit score.

You will be considered for the myAcademy Rewards Mastercard® Credit Card. If not eligible, then you may be considered for the myAcademy Rewards Credit Card, which may only be used at Academy.

Once you've submitted your application, you may receive a decision right away. In some cases, however, it can take several business days for Comenity Bank to reach a decision. If you don't receive an immediate decision, you'll be notified by mail within 10 business days.

There is no annual fee associated with the cards.⁷

Yes, during the application process for the myAcademy Rewards credit cards you will be prompted to enroll in the myAcademy Rewards loyalty program to ensure you can take full advantage of the benefits associated with both the credit and loyalty program.

If your existing Academy Sports + Outdoors Credit Card account has been transitioned to the myAcademy Rewards Credit Card and you have a myAcademy Rewards loyalty program account, your credit account and loyalty account will be linked.

If your existing Academy Sports + Outdoors Credit Card account has been transitioned to the myAcademy Rewards Credit Card and you do not have a myAcademy Rewards Loyalty program account, one will be created for you to ensure you can take advantage of all of the program benefits.

Membership in the myAcademy Rewards loyalty program is free and you can opt out at any time.

The myAcademy Rewards Mastercard Credit Card can be used on everyday purchases anywhere Mastercard is accepted.

To make purchases in-store or online, the primary account holder must activate the card:

Yes! If you're approved during your online application session, you can use your new card right away to receive a $30 first purchase discount.¹

• Online: The application, approval, and purchase must happen in the same session for the discount to apply automatically.
• In-store: The discount will be applied at checkout after you're approved.

Your physical card will arrive by mail within 7-10 business days of application approval.

Instant Approval:

• If approved during checkout, your account will be applied automatically to complete your first purchase.
• If approved via QR code, let the Team Member know at checkout so they can use Account Look-Up.
• You can continue shopping in-store before your physical card arrives.

Pending Approval:

• If your application is pending, you cannot complete a purchase until approved. Once approved, you can shop in-store using Account Look-Up before your card arrives.

Instant Approval: If instantly approved online, your account will be created and a temporary card will be saved, so you can shop online immediately. To receive $30 off your first purchase, complete checkout the same day.

Pending Approval: If approval is pending, you cannot shop online until your card is approved. Once approved, you can shop in-store or online using Account Look-Up before your card arrives.

You will receive your card at the address provided on your application within 7-10 business days of application approval.

Yes, you can add the myAcademy Rewards Mastercard Credit Card to your Apple, Google and Samsung mobile wallets. Open the wallet app on your mobile device, then tap the "Add" button or plus sign. You can then add your card using your device's camera or by manually entering the card number. If you're having trouble, make sure your device is running the most up-to-date operating system. You'll also want to confirm you've enabled Face ID, Touch ID and/or a secure passcode.

Yes! Account Look-Up is available online, in-store at checkout, or via QR code—so you can complete purchases, confirm your available balance and make payments with ease.

To use Account Look-Up, the primary account holder must be present and provide a valid State Driver's License, Military ID, State ID, or passport. Authorized buyers cannot use this feature.

Primary account holders can add up to 4 authorized buyers to their myAcademy Rewards Mastercard or Credit Card account.

• Authorized buyers receive a card with their name but cannot use Account Look-Up in-store; the primary account holder must be present for that.
• The primary account holder is responsible for all charges, including those made by authorized buyers.

Your first purchase must be on the same day as application and approval.¹

• Online: Apply and purchase in the same session.
• In-store: Team member can look up your account at checkout.

• Your purchase must be $30.01 or more and paid entirely with your myAcademy Rewards Mastercard or Credit Card (no split payments)¹

It depends on your myAcademy Rewards membership status at the time of application.

If you're already a myAcademy Rewards member:
You'll receive the $30 discount on your first purchase after approval, but not the $15 welcome offer since that's only for new loyalty members.

If you're not yet a member:
You'll be enrolled in the myAcademy Rewards loyalty program during your credit card application. You'll receive:

• The $30 first purchase discount¹ applied automatically at checkout.
• The $15 loyalty welcome offer^a, delivered via email and added to your account online or in the app—usually within minutes of enrollment.

If your email or phone number is already in our system but your account isn't fully activated:
You'll receive an email prompting you to finish activating your loyalty account. Once complete, your $15 welcome offer will be added.

After your first purchase, all transactions on your myAcademy Rewards Mastercard Credit Card or myAcademy Rewards Credit Card automatically receive 5% off at checkout.¹ If your purchase doesn't qualify for the $30 first purchase discount, the 5% discount applies instead.

With the myAcademy Rewards Mastercard Credit Card, you'll earn 2% back in rewards on purchases made outside Academy, including gas, groceries, restaurants, and anywhere Mastercard is accepted.⁴

• You'll earn 2 points for every $1 spent outside Academy.
• For every $250 spent outside Academy, you'll earn a $5 Reward Certificate.
• These rewards can be redeemed toward future purchases at Academy.
• You can easily track your points and view your rewards by logging into your myAcademy Rewards Account. You may also view rewards in the Comenity Bank Account Center and on your printed statement.

Use your myAcademy Rewards Mastercard Credit Card to make $500 in purchases outside Academy (such as gas, groceries, restaurants, or anywhere Mastercard is accepted) within 90 days of opening your account.⁵ Once you meet this requirement, you'll receive a $50 reward, which will be available in your myAcademy Rewards Account for use on Academy purchases. You can also view your reward in the Comenity Bank Account Center and on your printed statement.

There is no minimum purchase required when using your myAcademy Rewards Mastercard or myAcademy Rewards Credit Card.² Free shipping applies to standard shipping only; excluding bulk and select items (see product page).

There are several ways to pay your credit card bill:

• Pay Online by 5:00 PM EST on the due date.
• Pay by Phone by 5:00 PM EST. Same-day phone payments have a $9 fee.

• Pay In-Store: with cash, debit or check at Academy Customer Service by 5:00 PM EST.
• Pay by Mail: Send payment to the address on your statement at least 10 business days before the due date.

Comenity Bank applies a late fee if your minimum payment isn't made by 5:00 PM EST / 4:00 PM CST on the due date.

Payment Options:

• Online / In-Store / Phone: Pay by the deadline above. Phone payments have a $9 fee.
• By Mail: Send at least 10 business days before the due date.

If you don't pay your balance in full, the unpaid amount carries over and accrues interest at the current APR.

• APR is variable, based on the U.S. Prime Rate

Account Assure is an optional program offered by Comenity Bank for myAcademy Rewards Mastercard and myAcademy Rewards Credit Card holders. It provides help if you can't pay due to qualifying life events like job loss, hospitalization, unpaid family leave, or identity theft.
